Product Quality and Service Oaths

Rigel Optics is the American authority in consumer night vision. Rigel Optics offers state-of-the-art night vision and other optical equipment using only the best components and expert craftsmanship.

Return Policy

At Rigel Optics we understand that in some cases, it is difficult to purchase products online without the ability to see and test the product in advance. We therefore offer a 15 day money back guarantee on all of our products. A fifteen percent restocking fee applies on all returns. A five percent surcharge is levied on all cancelled orders prior to product shipment. Customers only pay the differential cost for exchanges or upgrades from a previous purchase.

In order to receive maximum credit on all returns, the returned item must be in new condition with all accessories, manuals, receipts and OEM packaging intact. Credits cannot be given on returned items which are misused, mishandled, or damaged in any way by the customer. The customer is responsible for return shipping of all items, and takes the responsibility to ship the item so that it is not damaged in route. If you return an item for whatever reason make sure to pack it securely to avoid any damage in route.

Please carry out the following instructions for 15 day product returns:

2. Upon receipt of return authorization, carefully pack and box up the item and include all packaging, accessories, product warranty card, and sales receipt.

The customer is responsible for paying all applicable shipping and handling charges of the product to Rigel Optics. If you are returning an item for an exchange, you will receive your replacement item within 5-7 business days after we receive your return. If you are requesting a refund, your credit card account will be credited within 2 business days after we receive your return or you will be sent a refund check.

Product returns must be postmarked no later than 15 days from the date on the sales receipt, otherwise the product will be considered sold to the customer. No exceptions.

Warranty and Post Warranty Service

To ensure the best quality on all our products and avoid any defects, Rigel Optics carries out field tests on each item before it leaves our warehouse. Further, we also offer a full 12 month warranty on all our products.

The following conditions apply for warranty returns:

2. Upon receipt of return authorization, carefully pack and box up the item and include all packaging, accessories, product warranty card and sales receipt.

If product is found to be defective within 12 months from sales date, product is to be returned to Rigel Optics for replacement unit, customer will be billed $9.99 product quality check and return shipping and handling to the customer. The customer is responsible for paying shipping and handling charges back to Rigel Optics, and bears full responsibility for the product until it is received by Rigel Optics.

After warranty service is also available for the life of your product. If a customer has an after/out of warranty product for repair, he/she is to contact Rigel Optics directly for that service. Rigel Optics charges the following for after/out of warranty replacement, for which the customer is provided with a field replacement unit (FRU):

 –  ½ of original sales value of product
 –  $25 processing and quality check fee
 –  $9.99 shipping and handling fee

The FRU units are covered by a 3 month warranty. Full payment is to be made in advance to Rigel Optics prior to dispatching the FRU to the customer.

Payment Options

Shipping Policy and Rates

All shipments are sent via United Parcel Service. Upon shipment of your item, we send you an automatic electronic message with the date of dispatch, expected day of arrival, and tracking number of your shipment where you can check the status at the UPS website. For ground shipments via UPS, the time of delivery is usually 2-5 days. Overnight delivery is available. Insurance is also available on domestic shipments via UPS.

   Please note that we do not ship to any international locations or APO/FPO addresses. We ship to US addresses only.

Our shipping and handling rates are made easy for the buyer - we charge shipping and handling according to the number of units you buy. Shipping and handling charges are as follows:

  • USA - UPS Ground Shipping [2 to 5 days] = $9.99 per item
  • USA - UPS 2nd Day Air = $44.99 per item
  • USA - UPS Next Day Air = $54.99 per item
  • USA - UPS OverNight with Saturday delivery $79.99 per item

All orders are processed and shipped within 1 business day upon full receipt of payment.

If your package was damaged in shipment by the carrier, save the box and the merchandise and notify us immediately at 1-360-835-5629 or by e-mail. The carrier will inspect and pick up the damaged package and the damaged items will be replaced.

The customer guarantees that by placing an order from Rigel Optics, he/she agrees to use the product in full compliance with local and federal laws of the United States, and will use the product in a lawful, civil manner. Rigel Optics serves only US based customers who intend to use the product in the U.S. The customer also agrees not to take the purchased product outside the United States, or transfer the product to a 3rd party with the intent of doing so. We reserve the right to refuse sales to customers at our own discretion.

Rigel Optics is an American company and is not affiliated with the military industry in any way. We sell only commercial grade optics intended for civilian, non-military use, and abide by all U.S. Federal laws.

Sales Tax
We are required by law to charge sales tax on orders being shipped within the State of Washington (8.2%). If you are shipping to any other destination in the U.S., sales tax will not be charged on your purchase.

All of our products make excellent and unique gifts for any holiday or occasion. Gift orders always receive special care at Rigel Optics. For a $5.00 surcharge, we will be happy to wrap your gift and include a special gift card with your personal message.
